Ok so this has probably been mentioned before but I think Chrysler is really missing the mark by not offering a stick on the 200c. I personally really like the looks of it, and I think for a 4 door car it could have a lot of appeal to someone who wanted something a little more "grown up" but still had the desire to hoon.
The 200c is already available with AWD and a 295hp/262 lb-ft torque engine and only weighs 200 lb more than a focus st. And at around $25,000 starting price it's a decent value too.
Maybe there isn't a market enough to justify it, but I guess what I am saying is if it were available it would seriously make me question my tendencies to Ford if I were in the market for a mid sized 4 door car.

No it doesn't. If you want a manual 200, get a Dart.
It's a luxury car. As nice as the power and AWD probably are, I bet the suspension isn't great. There's maybe 10 people who would actually buy a manual 200

Yeah you might be right. I honestly just like the look of the 200 so much better than the dart. Like I said there probably isn't a market for it, doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see it.

I think that's pretty far off the mark. Chrysler is not a clear-cut luxury brand. If anything, this car is more like a CC or TSX than any Bimmer or Merc. And both of those cars sell really well with the manual. If they could offer one with the V6 and AWD for 30-32 with a stick, it would be a solid choice.

Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen, have you been inside this car's interior? You can't just slap in a stick. The center console would have to be completely resdesigned, along with the center stack. The usual auto shifter has been replaced by one of those annoying dial shifters, the purpose being to free up space and make the interior better looking and more ergonomic (and it must be said it works).
Not that I'm disagreeing with you, mind.

I know that Chrysler has advertised in such a way that it sounds like the V6/AWD version is 25k, but that's for the I4/FWD version. Trust me.

I think an AWD Dart with a manual and the V6 would be pretty sweet, especially if priced < $30k.

I've never seen a CC or TSX with a manual.
Chrysler is totally a clear-cut luxury brand. Why don't you think it is? They make 3 cars, all of which are upscale versions of Dodges targeted to the luxury buyer.

It would be, but no one would buy it.

Also, the AWD will be decidedly Front Biased. I don't think the letters on the spec sheet would add up to the hoon mobile in your head . . . .

You don't think? People seem to be buying enough WRXs and Ford STs to warrant their produciton. Why isn't there room for Dodge in that market?

They have no clout, prestige, or fan base. The only people that buy them are ones that realize they can buy a bit more than the same Dodge their neighbors have for 5k more.

Having clout and prestige doesn't mean they aren't a luxury brand. They're just a shitty one.

Exactly what Jayhawk said, it doesn't need a manual. Literally nobody would buy it.
